It must be that time of year again...

About a month ago, I had a stomach bug. That was pretty horrible, and I was out for two days. So, I thought I was out of the woods right? WRONG!

I got sick again, on Sunday, and I've been sick since. I went to the doctor on Monday night because my fever hadn't gone down with advil or without. They told me that I had strep. Oh, the good old strep. Really nice of them to give me drugs for that too.

Earlier that day, I hadn't even considered it to even be step! Only because I hadn't had it since I was in, oh...3rd grade? I thought I was immune to it or something. Wrong, yet again.

I went back to school on Wednesday, after being on drugs for 24 hours and being fever free. It was rough, I had several coughing/hacking fits. I didn't have all that much make up work or tests.(Dr. Hayward did something nice and made me exempt from everything! Love her for that!). I was tired when I got home, so I took a nap and work up around 5:45 with a fever over 101. Great, just what I wanted! So, I took my drugs, and next thing I know THE POWER GOES OUT! Which meant the heat, light, and the refrigerator. That definitely was not ok, definitely not, when you have a horrid cough and a high fever. HA!

So, I didn't go to school today either. I slept almost all day so far, and I don't have a fever anymore. Praise God. I have exams all next week, and I couldn't afford all this 'being sick' business. Sheesh, pretty awesome.

Well, in more fabulous news, my youth leader, Ashley Hathcox, got engaged! She got engaged on Thanksgiving, to a pretty awesome guy, I've never met him but if she said yes, he has to be awesome! I'm so happy for her!

Sarah and Cory's Wedding

Today Sarah Lynch and Cory Jones got married today, after being engaged for 18 months. The ceremony was sweet and beautiful. The reception was a circus theme! There were a balloon artist, cotton candy, jelly beans, snow cones, a photo booth, corn dogs, bottled coke, and more! It was awesome!

Congratulations to Sarah and Cory, they are definitely kids at heart, and they are absolutely made for each other. I'm glad to know the both of them, they are amazing people! After waiting 18 months, it finally happened, and all the waiting and planning was so worth it! These two are actively involved in the youth at CCC, that's how I met them.

I can't wait to see what God has in store for them! I bet it's awesome!

Again, Congrats Sarah and Cory!!

Weddings, Summer Enrichment, Babysitting and Friends

Well, it's less than a month until school starts...I know, I don't want to go back either.

That means summer enrichment, which means work during summer break, hence the BREAK! Which should mean a break from work, school work!

Tomorrow, I am babysitting Piph and Ollie from 8am-2pm. I'm so excited! I love those kids! They are adorable!  They will come over to my house, so I'll be up bright n' early!

Tomorrow about 3, is Abby and Eli's wedding! I'm so happy for them!

Sunday, I'm hanging with the bestie...I hope! We will live it up until it can't be lived up any more! Now that I'm out of this 'funk', I'm looking forward to hanging out with people and not wanting to lay in bed all day.

Next week...is totally open to discussion. I have no idea what is going on next week. Probably babysitting(?), working, and hanging out with friends. I want to fight in a movie night with Caitlyn and a few pool days with various people.

That's about it, haven't done anything worth putting on here...so next post!

Meaning

Here's some quotes that i have been thinking of the past few days...:

"Our lives improve only when we take chances... and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves." ~ Walter Anderson

Tension is who you think you should be.  Relaxation is who you are.”
- Chinese Proverb

"It is never too late to be what you might have been." - George Eliot

Current Listenings: Give Me Your Eyes By Brandon Heath

Looked down from a broken sky
Traced out by the city lights
My world from a mile high
Best seat in the house tonight

Touched down on the cold black tar
Hold on for the sudden stop
Breathe in the familiar shock
Of confusion and chaos

All those people going somewhere
Why have i never cared?

Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so i can see
Everything that i keep missing
Give me your love for humanity

Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me your eyes so i can see
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Step out on a busy street
See a girl and our eyes meet
Does her best to smile at me
To hide what?s underneath

There's a man just to her right
Black suit and a bright red tie
Too ashamed to tell his wife
He's out of work he's buying time

All those people going somewhere
Why have i never cared?

Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so i can see
Everything that i keep missing
Give me your love for humanity

Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me your eyes so i can see
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

I've been there a million times
A couple of million eyes just moving past me by
I swear i never thought that i was wrong

Well i want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way you see the people all alone

Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so i can see
Everything that i keep missing
Give me your love for humanity

Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me your eyes so i can see

Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so i can see
Everything that i keep missing
That i keep missing

Give me your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach?
Give me your heart for the one's forgotten
Give me your eyes so i can see
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

Not much to report today or for this week....it's been full of boring nothings. My grandpa turned 79(?) on Tuesday. We had a giant cookout and celebrated. We got track lighting. That's about it! Oh and my friendish type person, Lauren, is getting married next Saturday, the 12th. She is marrying Ben Kingsley/Kimball(I have no idea what his last name is). They have a 8 month old son named Leo Benjamin. He is soooo adorable. (: So congrats to them!

Will post sometime next week before I go to St. Louis. SOSOSOSOSO excited for that!

Night all,
